Introducing the Spelunky Daily Challenge
Starting August 8th, there's going to be a great new way to play Spelunky competitively! The Daily Challenge is a brand new mode exclusive to the Steam version of the game. In the Daily, the stakes are higher than ever before.
The rules are simple:
One chance... each day. For guts... for glory. No excuses! Since everyone plays the same adventure during the Daily, you'll be able to know for certain who's the top Spelunky player in your tribe - we've already been having a great time competing against one another behind the scenes!
Helping us promote this new mode before Spelunky's release are the two amazing indie game developers who gave us the idea for it: Douglas Wilson (J.S. Joust) and Zach Gage (SpellTower, Ridiculous Fishing). They'll be streaming Daily runs for a week starting July 28th. And joining them will be five LPers who were cool enough to support Spelunky when we first released on Xbox:
